Bread Baits
This type of bait is very successful and used in many ways. Its easy, versatile, very cheap and most anglers can catch fish
using a loaf of bread to entice the catch to the hook. There are usually four forms of bread baits used by fishermen.
Bread Crust
This is ideal bait for surface fishing or as suspended bait.
Bread Flake
Bread flake is best used as a slow sinking bait.
Bread Paste
This is where the angler moulds bread with a bit of water and kneaded until it forms pastes. Use this type as a fast sinking bait or for bottom fishing.
Bread Punch
Pellets are made by pushing a tool called a bread punch into a slice of fresh bread. A hook slides through a groove along the side of the punch and the result is a perfectly shaped pellet on your hook. This can be quite a successful bait to use when bites are shy.
